[Customer Question]
I want to know how to extract only roads that pedestrians can walk on.
[Situation]
For pedestrian flow analysis, I want to use MapFan DB's pedestrian network data to extract data targeting only roads where pedestrians can pass.
(*Note: The pedestrian network also includes road network data)
[Our Answer]
Please use the walkable_c = 1, 2 condition for the Walkable Classification Code.
Walkable Classification Code Categories:
- walkable_c = 0: Not Walkable (roads accessible only to vehicles)
- walkable_c = 1: Common access for both pedestrians and cars
- walkable_c = 2: Exclusive use for pedestrians (pedestrian-only roads)
Important Note:
There are limitations to pedestrian network coverage areas. The above extraction is only possible within pedestrian network coverage areas.
