Yanmar Holdings Co., Ltd.
will begin a nationwide survey
of unmanned farm produce
stands on Thursday, July
17, 2025, utilizing the user-participatory
information collection service
"GeoQuest Connect."
In recent years, unmanned
farm produce stands have
attracted attention for multiple
reasons. They can deliver
fresh vegetables and fruits
grown locally directly to
consumers. They also reduce
operating costs. Furthermore,
these unmanned stands serve
as places where consumers
can discover attractive local
agricultural products in
their neighborhoods or while
traveling. They are expected
to lead to new sales channel
expansion for producers.
However, unmanned stands
are primarily individually
operated retail formats.
This makes it difficult to
collect comprehensive information
about stands across Japan.
As a result, their actual
situation has not been sufficiently
grasped by society.
To address these challenges,
Yanmar aims to build an information
platform for unmanned stands
that connects producers and
consumers. Yanmar will collaborate
with GeoTechnologies to conduct
a nationwide survey of unmanned
stands.

"GeoQuest Connect" is a service
that responds to survey needs.
It deploys them as "quests"
to users through GeoQuest
(commonly known as "GeoQue").
The service collects images
and location information
through on-site photography
and posting. We can respond
to various survey needs,
including academic research
and infrastructure inspections.
Compared to conventional
field surveys, it can achieve
cost reduction and shortened
survey periods. If you are
